DynaScan DS841LR4-1, 2500 cd/m² UHD

The DS841LR4-1 is the largest professional high brightness LCD offering from DynaScan, measuring 84-inches diagonally. The display features a 4K UHD 84-inch IPS LCD with a high brightness LED backlight producing a 2,500 nit sunlight-viewable image. The DS841LR4-1 has been designed for large scale display applications in bright environments such as outdoor enclosures and storefront windows. Each screen is individually color calibrated to the D65 color standard to ensure uniformity among multiple displays.

High Brightness LED Backlit with Local Dimming

LED backlighting is both more energy efficient and provides a much brighter image than traditional CCFL backlights. Due to the compact nature of LEDs, displays are also typically thinner. The DS841LR4-1 utilizes a proprietary system of LED backlighting which is not only more energy efficient than traditional CCFL backlights, it is also considerably brighter. DynaScan has applied its LED expertise to create a collection of ultra-high brightness LCDs which can easily be viewed in direct sunlight such as storefront windows or outdoor enclosures. The display features a local dimming LED backlight technique for a remarkably high contrast picture. With direct local dimming, darker areas of an image receive less backlighting than lighter areas, as opposed to CCFL and edge-lit LED backlights which illuminate an entire screen at all times causing blacks and dark areas to appear washed out.

Color Temperature and Quality

The DS841LR4-1 comes equipped to display both D55 (5500 K) and D65 (6500 K) CIE color standards right out of the box – a feature lacking from many of the large format commercial LCDs currently on the market. As many displays have a tendency to be rather cool or “bluish”, these color settings produce a very natural looking image which has a correlated color temperature to that of daylight.

Blackening Defect Free

Most residential and commercial screens will blacken or result in isotropic failure when the LCD panel overheats. The DS841LR4-1 is equipped with a high-temperature LCD panel capable of withstanding temperatures up to 110˚C (230°F) without blackening – crucial for direct sunlight applications.

Auto Brightness Control

Different external lighting conditions require different brightness levels. An onboard light sensor measures the ambient light in the area and automatically adjusts the image accordingly.

Ultra HD 4K Resolution

With Ultra HD 4K resolution, the DS841LR4-1 provides a super sharp image for easy to read text and incredible detail.
